How CapCut’s “Long Video to Shorts” Feature Works
CapCut comes equipped with various video editing tools, including capabilities to trim clips. However, with this new feature, users can upload a video that is longer than one minute but less than three hours in duration. The “Long Video to Shorts” feature then analyzes the video to identify and extract the most interesting segments, creating a shorter version at the desired length and adjusting it to a vertical format. Users can choose from four different options for the final video:
- Auto: The app automatically shortens the clip.
- Less than 60 seconds: The clip is cut to a duration of no more than 60 seconds.
- 60-90 seconds: The video is reduced to a length between 60 and 90 seconds.
- 90 seconds – 3 minutes: The clip is cut to a duration between 90 seconds and 3 minutes.
